Advance Reproductive Biotechnology (ARB) is a project under MARDI with the funding from the Ministry of Finance. The project sited at Stesen MARDI Kluang was awarded to Marditech in 2007 to do following within a span of 10 years :

1. Establish the Nucleus Herd Unit at Kluang through direct oversea procurement of high quality breeder animals
2. Establish Multiplier Farms for Boer Goats and Brahman Cattle in each state nationwide 
3. Establish spin-off Commercial Farms from the above Multiplier Farms

LTK Omega 3 - The Birth of Designer Eggs

Before 1999, eggs as functional food were unknown to the Malaysia consumer. R&D findings at MARDI as the technology base, together with Wong Hee Kum, the researcher and LTK production team, we travelled through the journey of technology commercialization, passing several milestone on the way-up scaling, fine tuning, beta testing, market survey, trouble shooting, and finally commercial production.

The brand 'LTK Omega Plus' , has also inspired me - too products, creating a niche market in the poultry. The commercialization of Omega 3 eggs has successfully delivered the sosio-economic benefits as promise by the R&D. The experience became the benchmark for other R&D commercialization project.
